Woodleigh Station has fun activities for people of all ages.
Some of these activities are automatically included when you make a school excursion or day tour booking with us. Please contact us if you'd like to know more.
PLEASE NOTE: We do not conduct these activities for campers.
Activity | Description |

Milking | An important job on the station is milking the cow every morning. |
Whip cracking | Learn to crack a whip like a stockman mustering cattle. |
Yardwork | Get hands-on cattle station experience with pregnancy testing, branding, and ear tagging (seasonal – contact us for details). |
Wildlife spotting | Go for a truck ride around the property looking for kangaroos, wallabies, goannas, crocodiles and more. |
Feeding time | Help us feed the pigs, chooks, turkeys, and ducks. |
Bush walking | See the beauty of the Australian outback up close. |
Bird watching | There are over 100 bird species on Woodleigh - see how many you can spot. |
Historical tour | Walk through the original homestead built in 1876 by Woodleigh's first European settlers. |
Swimming | A number of spots are available, suitable from beginners to experienced swimmers. |
Fishing | Stand on a riverbank, or bring a canoe. Our rivers mostly hold bream, cod, and perch. |
Star gazing | We’ll point out some constellations – you’ll be amazed at how many stars you can see. |
Bonfire gathering | Gather around the fire at the end of the day and share some stories. |
