Welcome!
Woodleigh is a working cattle station situated on the western slopes of the Evelyn Tablelands, 25 kilometres (16 miles) from Ravenshoe, Far North Queensland, Australia. It covers 65 square miles of diverse countryside and carries 2,500 head of beef cattle. Classified as open dry sclerophyll forest, it is cut by several watercourses including the Millstream, Wild and Herbert Rivers and Blunder Creek, as well as being watered by man-made dams. Much of it has been set aside by the Williams family as a sanctuary for wildlife.
At Woodleigh, we offer day tours in cooperation with Tropic Wings Coach Tours, which includes a round trip of the Atherton Tablelands. Many groups and clubs also choose Woodleigh to host their private functions. Farm stays are also available for students interested in learning about and partaking in the Aussie country way of life.
Woodleigh Station holds the best part of both worlds; although easily accessible, Woodleigh is also distant enough from civilisation to allow you to fully experience the Aussie outback lifestyle. To visit Woodleigh is to be part of a unique rural experience. Ensure that your tour through North Queensland includes this genuine view of the richness of Australian bush life.
